My very first wedding cake, all vanilla with vanilla italian meringue buttercream and strawberry filling with strawberries.
This was an interesting choice of cake, it was very different than your average cake because she wanted the cake to be offset with pillars to hold it up, and she wanted black and red lettering all over the cake. We added small red roses to the cake for a finishing touch to this romantic cake. I did make a small mistake writing the last name before applying the border so it covered it a bit :/ but now i know.
These are my gumpaste roses...they look pretty realistic!
